Sigenergy SigenStor Wi-Fi Reconnect
Sigenergy SigenStor
(For Sigenergy inverter and battery systems, including SigenStor 5-in-1 units)
1. Check your WiFi signal strength
Stand next to your SigenStor system with your phone and make sure your home WiFi network appears in the available list.
If the WiFi signal in this area is weak or not visible, install a WiFi extender or use a wired Ethernet connection.
The SigenStor requires a stable 2.4 GHz WiFi connection and cannot connect to 5 GHz networks.
2. Restart your Sigenergy inverter
Turn off the AC switch
The AC switch is located inside the Sigenergy Gateway.
Open the Gateway and locate the switch labelled ‘Inverter Supply’, then flip it up to the OFF position to cut AC power to the inverter.
Turn off the DC switch
The DC switch is behind the small cover on the left side of the inverter.
Lift the cover upwards to remove it, then turn the switch labelled DC to OFF.
Wait a few minutes for the inverter to fully shut down.
Then restart in reverse order:
- Turn the DC switch ON.
- Turn the AC / Inverter Supply switch ON.
The inverter may take several minutes to power up completely.
Once restarted, the inverter’s WiFi hotspot will become active so you can reconnect it to your home network.
3. Open the mySigen app
On your smartphone, open the mySigen app.
If you have not installed it yet, download it from the App Store or Google Play.
4. Go to Settings
Tap Settings in the bottom right corner of the app.
5. Open Network Configuration
Under More Settings, tap Connectivity to access the connectivity menu.
Tap Next to begin the setup process and follow the on-screen prompts.
6. Scan the QR code on the inverter
7. Choose to connect via hotspot
When asked how you want to connect, select ‘No, I want to connect device hotspot’.
This tells the app to connect directly to the inverter’s WiFi hotspot.
8. Connect to the inverter hotspot
Tap Next, then Connect when prompted.
Your phone will automatically connect to the Sigenergy inverter hotspot, typically named Sigen_xxxxxx.
If a password is requested, enter 12345678.
Once connected, the app will search for available WiFi networks.
Select your home WiFi network, enter your WiFi password (case-sensitive), and tap Join.
9. Verify the connection
Once connected successfully, a tick mark will appear next to your home WiFi network.
Tap Finished to close the setup.
Your SigenStor will now connect to your home WiFi and resume sending live data to the mySigen app.
